In 1994, Huamei International School was honored as one of the top ten schools in Tianhe District. On December 26th, the foundation stone was laid for the new campus "Huamei International School Garden."

In 1993, Huamei International School was the first private boarding school in Guangzhou City and the first to open in Guangdong Province, integrating kindergarten, primary school, middle school, and pre-university study abroad programs.

In April 1993, Xiong Jia, Zhang Keqiang, and Liu Sha began to prepare for the establishment of Huamei International School, which was approved on June 10th. On June 19th of the same year, Huamei International School was officially established. The former Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the CPPCC, Ye Xuanping, inscribed Huamei International School name "Guangzhou Huamei English Experimental Primary School." In June, Mr. Chen Jinlong, a master's degree holder from the University of Guelph in Canada, returned to China and joined the Huamei founders as a member of Huamei International School affairs committee.

On September 1, 1993, Huamei International School officially started classes, renting a small building from the Guangzhou Military Sports College of the People's Liberation Army, only enrolling students aged 6-8, with a total of 89 students in two grades and three classes.
