The Indonesian Chinese Language Education Delegation Visits Huamei School in Guangzhou to Witness the Charm of Internationalized Education and Explore Educational Development Together
On September 12, 2024, the Indonesian Chinese Language Education Delegation visited Huamei English Experimental School in Guangzhou with the aim of enhancing educational exchanges and cooperation, jointly exploring the international development of Chinese language education. This exchange was not only a collision of educational cultures between the two countries but also a vivid demonstration of Huamei School's internationalized education philosophy.
Visiting Dignitaries and School Facilities Tour
Delegation Leaders: Lian Junwei, former Chairman of the Indonesian Chinese Language Education Association and President of Indonesia Beacon International Education Co., Ltd., and Secretary-General of the Board Lian Mingsi.
Government Representatives: Jiang Fan, Deputy Minister of the Guangzhou Municipal United Front Work Department, Director of the Municipal Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, and Second-Level Inspector, and Li Nan, Director of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Cultural Affairs Department of the Guangzhou Municipal United Front Work Department.
School Leadership: Dr. Chen Feng, Chairman of Huamei School, and Dr. Bao Chengzhong, Principal of the main campus warmly received the guests. The delegation toured Huamei School's modern facilities, including multi-functional classrooms, laboratories, and libraries.
The Indonesian delegation observed Huamei School's special courses and had an insightful conversation with students. Both parties discussed potential future collaborative projects.

The sister-school relationship with Surabaya Frateran High School in Indonesia exemplifies Huamei's international exchange efforts. Despite pandemic interruptions, Huamei maintained close online interactions, showcasing solidarity during adversity.
In September 2023, the revisit by Mr. Su Xianyuan, founder of Yongspring Chinese Center in Indonesia, reinvigorated Huamei's partnership with Indonesian schools. Following months of preparation, 35 Indonesian students embarked on a nine-day "Cantonese Intellectual Exploration Journey" at Huamei in June 2024.
The current visit by the Indonesian Chinese Language Education Delegation marks a new chapter in Huamei's international education journey. Huamei will continue to uphold an open and inclusive approach, strengthening international cooperation and exchanges, striving to cultivate globally competitive talents.
